Giuseppina Buttitta wins multiple awards for modelling papers
In June 2017, Giuseppina Buttitta presented her paper ‘Modelling Residential Building Stock Heating Load Demand - Integration of Occupancy Models’ at the ASHRAE Annual Conference, receiving an award for the best paper by a doctoral student. The paper analyses the combined influence of different occupancy assumptions and different occupancy models on housing heating loads. In August 2017, Giuseppina presented her paper ‘Modelling Household Occupancy Patterns using Data Mining Clustering Techniques on Time Use Data’. Giuseppina also participated in the energy research ‘Thesis in Three’ competition in September; winning the audience prize.
