Innovation Manager MVV Energie
In her current role in MVV Energie, Dr. Doris Wittneben works mainly in the area of innovative heating solutions. Doris has coordinated innovation projects especially with fuel cells and CHP in residential applications. In addition to her doctorate in Chemistry, she is an expert in strategic management, business administration as well as in innovation management and systemic change management. As manager of the RealValue field trial in Mannheim/Germany, Doris is responsible for the efficient organization and financial controlling at MVV Energie. In addition, she is work package leader WP 5 for the German trial.
Expert Customer Dialogue and Customer Processes
Tobias Reith works as part of MVV Energie’s department of customer experience and innovation since 2015. After graduating in a dual degree program in Business Administration with specialisation in Service Marketing, Branding and Sales, he is now responsible for the management of customer dialogue and customer processes with focus on digital communication. In the RealValue project he coordinates internal and external partners as part of the project lead and is responsible for day-to-day project activities and the implementation and optimization of processes.
Frank Wicht is electrical engineer of Development Renewable Systems at Glen Dimplex Deutschland. In his function he developed thermal storage heaters and the integration of them in the Smart Eco System. In the project “Real Value” he is responsible for the installation of the heating systems, the commissioning and contact person for the installer.

Project Management Finance
Head of Development Renewable Systems
Carsten Thomas is head of development Renewable Systems at Glen Dimplex Deutschland. In his function he is responsible for the development of thermal storage heaters and the integration of them in the future smart grid.
Manager patents and Engineering Standards
Thomas’ tasks include project management and monitoring to ensure compliance with ethics requirements. He is responsible for the administration of all documents, contracts and information required for the project. Thomas also carries out legal assessments as required, and supports the technical departments with any scientific questions.
Jan Breidenbach has been with BEEGY in Portfolio Management & Optimization since September 2015 after having completed his master degree program in energy management and energy technology. During his studies he was able to gain first experiences in portfolio management as a student trainee at MVV Trading GmbH. Moreover, Jan had already worked in direct marketing of renewable energy for more than one year. In the Real Value project, his focus is on the link between technical aspects and the energy markets.
Werner Neumeier has been working as Senior Product Manager at BEEGY since August 2015. He studied Business Administration and holds a “Diplom Kaufmann” degree from the University of Cologne. Before joining BEEGY, Werner worked as a management consultant for 18 years, primarily in the Telecoms and Energy sectors. At BEEGY he initially designed B2B solutions and is now responsible for all heat-related service offers, including storage heaters, heat pumps and related power tariffs. Within the RealValue project Werner is the main contact person and project leader at BEEGY.
Junior Innovation Manager
Benyam Weldeslasie is a Junior Innovation Manager at MVV Energie AG in the Customer Experience and Innovation department which deals with the implementation of innovative solutions. He studied mechanical engineering, specialising in thermodynamics, and in particular heat transfer. Within RealValue, Benyam Weldeslasie is a project engineer dealing technical issues. He is responsible for operational tasks within the project management as well as for the implementation and optimization of processes.
