RealValue showcase Event in Brussels receives glowing feedback!
RealValue organised a highly successful ‘Final Event’ in Brussels on 17th May, attracting a wide-range of around 80 stakeholders including European Commission representatives, businesses, researchers, policy makers, lobbyists and other key players in the energy sector.
The event was used to present the main results and findings of the RealValue project, and share learnings. Presentations and keynote speeches were delivered by Rowena McCappin (Project Director, Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation), Rémy Denos (Policy Officer, DG Energy, European Commission) and Mark J. O’Malley (Chief Scientist, Energy Systems Integration & Senior Research Fellow, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, USA). This was followed by panel sessions on three main topics – business models, consumer engagement, and future trends – which sparked lively discussion between panellists and members of the audience. To moderate and participate in the panel sessions, a range of high-profile guests, from organisations such as eurelectric, EASE (European Association for the Storage of Energy), Delta-ee and Swisscom among others, were invited to join RealValue project partners.
The latest RealValue video ‘Real People – Real Perspectives’, which was launched at this event, was warmly received by the audience. The clip, which is now available on YouTube here, features a selection of project participants from Ireland, Germany and Latvia who had the RealValue Quantum system installed in their properties. It captures their experiences and offers a 'snapshot' of end-user perceptions of the RealValue technology.
